A point wouldn’t be a bad result tomorrow
I know a win puts everything to bed, but a point would not be a terrible result for us tomorrow. It would get us to 35 points and, given our superior goal difference, would mean that Villa (Arsenal (H), us (A)) and Bournemouth (Southampton (H) and Everton (A) would have to WIN BOTH their remaining games to overtake us. And then Watford also have 2 tough games left (City and Arsenal), and we would just need to match their points total in the remaining games.

Obviously a win is what we want, but We might want to RESPECT THE POINT. Just got to make sure we don’t lose.

I've never been happier to be wrong. Fucking West Ham all over.

Vexed speaks a lot of sense, I don't know why that upsets so many people.

The one thing Pearson gets right is getting his team up for it and being aggressive. If I were him I'd have my team snarling in our faces and going after the likes of Cresswell and Fredericks. Actually anyone in our back 4, Ogbonna is rash and wind-upable and Diop can be bullied.

Need the war crim to lend a hand and score the goals!

I'm worried about tonight, think Pearson will have them right up for this. Moyes needs to make sure the player don't think they're Real Madrid after dicking a poor N'aaarch.

Re: A point wouldn’t be a bad result tomorrow
What normally happens after we win well is that we seem to relax, training seems to be a laugh and they probably stroke the ball around Rush Green like Real Madrid feeling confident that the next team they come across is going to bend over.

Then they come across a team that works their arses off and ten minutes in they're walking back to the centre circle with their heads down wondering what just happened. Reality just fucking happened.

Bad feeling about tonight. Hope that I am wrong.

We need to win and get this season done and dusted. 3-1 to the Hammers, must always reckon on Deeney scoring probably a penalty!

Watford seem to concede quite often from set pieces which bodes well for us, they also give away a lot of free kicks in dangerous areas.
However Watford bang a lot of crosses into the box and we are bad at defending them. Strangely they are terrible at set pieces and concede a large percentage of their goals late in the second half as do we (most of ours are at 60-75 mins when the genius David Moyes makes his routine substitution...).
They make a lot of half chances and have a lot of shots per game, but are crap at converting them. They are quite similar to us in a number of ways but we have a clear advantage with our set piece dominance and their propensity to give them away. If our full backs to tighten up to prevent their crosses and we should run out winners here.

"They aren't the type of team that's going to rip us apart attacking wise. We can afford to commit men forward."

I think we said that a couple of seasons ago when we were 2-0 up...

Resolute needs work but have shown flashes of the 1st and with Bowen, Soucek, Rice and Antonio I think we have looked agile.

A point is ok, but fuck that. Go out to win and to score a couple of goals.

They aren't the type of team that's going to rip us apart attacking wise. We can afford to commit men forward.

A win is what we need.

The sooner we're safe, the sooner we can prepare for next season.

There's only a 5 week gap between seasons this time around, and we obviously need to prepare thoroughly, as we are worse than we should be, given the players we have at our disposal (and there's a few that should be disposed of!)

Re: A point wouldn’t be a bad result tomorrow
Wouldn't be good either. Would just be enough.

Two more wins and a spirited performance against Manchester United Would allow us to kick on, build team spirit and start next Season looking positive, agile and resolute.

Re: NEXT LEVEL
A draw is the worst result for Bournemouth and Villa s it keeps both us and Watford treading water above them. They need a win for either and then hope they can grab the coat-tails of whoever it is that loses.

But, in all honesty, if we don't beat Watford at home in the position we are in then we deserve for it go to the last game against Villa.

Just bloody hoping we do the job tonight and we can all relax. Hopefully the Villa game is meaningless for us. It could be they need to win to stay up but, with us being safe, it matters little.

Do i expect us to beat a second string Burnley team with the following players starting....

Long
Bardsley
Vydra
Brownhill
Pieters
Taylor

Yes.....yes i do, especially when we were virtually full strength. If anyone doesnt with our squad might aswell prepare for league 1 now

Tonight if we play well we should win.........its Moyes having the ability to get us to play well which is the tough bit. Oh and we need to bring our shooting boots, we create the same amount as against Burnley we should score 1 or 2

You seem to think we should beat most teams, including a Burnley that have now lost one in thirteen including away to Liverpool.

The reason we are where we are is we're not very good and beating any team isn't to be expected from us.
